Dollis Brook, Whetstone Stray

Bring the Dollis Brook back to life! Join us this summer in removing invasive non-native species (INNS) and litter from the Dollis Brook, supporting the recovery of native plants and boosting biodiversity along the riverbank. Where to meet:

• Outside 21 Longland Drive, N20 8HH https://maps.app.goo.gl/CZkUYcHK8W3oSubv6 (about 100m down from Totteridge Lane - look for light blue Thames 21 van)
• What 3 Words: hung.laptop.agree
• Nearest tube: Totteridge and Whetstone

We’ll meet here, as it’s easier and free to park. Once everyone has arrived, we’ll walk upstream to the site. What to Bring: Dress for the weather and the task – long trousers and sleeves are advisable as there are nettles and brambles. Please bring a packed lunch and plenty of fluids. Sun cream and a hat. We will bring tea/coffee and biscuits. We will provide all other equipment (including waders/wellies) needed for the event and we look forward to welcoming you! Email [email protected] if you have any questions. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please make sure you have weather appropriate clothing for the day. Please get in touch if you have any questions about accessibility. We will do our best to make this event as accessible as possible. Please note: A reasonable level of physical fitness is required due to the nature of the event. While nothing too strenuous, the event will include physical activity outdoors, plus walking.   This is an event designed for the community to engage the local public with the river and not for corporates.
